Faces of Liverpool – Jude Lennon

What do you love about Liverpool?

It’s a city that is rich in culture and history. Creativity pours from the people, the buildings and the places. The people are very friendly and humour is vital. I also love the fact that although it’s a city it feels like a village.

Name one main thing about living in Liverpool that makes you proud?

The fact that everyone supports each other and the city stands up for everyone.

If you could describe Liverpool in 3 words what would they be?

Vibrant, creative, fun.

Name one place in Liverpool that holds a special place in your heart?

The Allerton Oak in Calderstones Park. This tree inspired me to write my first book The Dragon of Allerton Oak and I never tire of looking at it.

Is there anything on your ‘Bucket List’ to do in Liverpool that you’re still yet to achieve?

I’d like to climb the Anglican Cathedral tower and take in the view. I always seem to miss this when it’s open.

Do you have any tales of Liverpool or claim to fame while in the city?

I won a competition which crowned me the Disney Winnie the Pooh Laureate for the North West of England. I wrote a story about Winnie the Pooh and friends visiting our city. They joined one of the Liver Birds (Bertie) for a bird’s eye view of the city.
