Ogwen – Snowdonia

Ogwen Valley is a stunning part of the Snowdonia National Park in north Wales were you can experience great views of Tryfan and the Glyderau mountains without committing to a strenuous hike up to the summits.

Can’t recommend this place enough, well worth the drive. The main car park leads to a variety of paths and although we only done the one (we went left of the cafe and just kept left on the path), I’d say all of them lead to amazing views.

The surrounding scenery is unbelievable and the streams go on forever. The path is mostly big rocks which can get slippy so definitely make sure you take boots rather than trabs (it’s also good to go off path to see more of the streams).

Walk can be as challenging as you make it. If you’re going to go to the top then be careful, not the easiest path as gets steep and can be quite slippy. Vids and pics just don’t do this place justice though.

Probably the best walk we’ve done.
