RLB360, the tour and attraction of the iconic Royal Liver Building, is supporting Alder Hey Children’s Charity by donating profits from the sales of their new ‘Bella’ and ‘Bertie’ sweets.

The new packs of ‘Bella’ and ‘Bertie’ sweets, named after the famous Liver Birds, are on sale at the attraction and from the Alder Hey charity.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity provides vital funds and support to the hospital.

The support for the charity was initiated by RLB360 attractions manager, Kim Wall, who has a daughter on placement as as paediatric nurse at the hospital

Earlier in the year RLB360 celebrated their reopening with free entry days for NHS workers and their families and have been keen to maintain the relationship with hospitals and charities.

As well as the charity keeping 100% of the profits made from their sales, RLB360 will also be donating £1 from each bag sold at its Liver Building gift shop.

Attractions manager at RLB360, Kim Wall, said: “It means a lot for RLB360 to work closely with Alder Hey Children’s Charity. My daughter Beth is in her final year studying paediatric nursing and is on placement at the hospital. The Alder Hey Children’s Charity needs all the support it can get and we’re glad to be doing our little bit to help. We hope this is just the beginning of a lovely working relationship between RLB360 and Alder Hey Children’s Charity.”

You can purchase your Bella and Bertie sweets through the charity, in the Royal Liver Building tour gift shop.

About the Royal Liverpool Building

The building opened in 1911 and was the purpose-built home of the Royal Liver Assurance group, which had been set up in the city in 1850 to provide locals with assistance related to losing a wage-earning relative. One of the first buildings in the world to be built using reinforced concrete, the Royal Liver Building stands at 98.2 m (322 ft) tall to the top of the spires, and 50.9 m (167 ft) to the main roof. Once one of the tallest buildings in the country, the Royal Liver Building is now only the joint-fifth tallest structure in the City of Liverpool.
