SERIES ONE – EDITION FIVE
In the fifth edition in our Faces of Liverpool series we caught up with Mason Owens, aged 22 from Old Swan; a musician.
What do you love about Liverpool?
The people in Liverpool are unlike anywhere else in the country. The sense of pride we have for our city and the lack of patriotism for the rest of the country is something most Scousers live by. The city itself is great, there’s always something you can do, the music is boss and I’ve always loved coming back to Liverpool after being away for a while. Best city in the world.
Name one main thing about living in Liverpool that makes you proud?
The people and the football (i.e. Everton FC)
If you could describe Liverpool in 3 words what would they be?
- Multi-cultural (we’re a port city and most Scousers today are descendant from immigrants in one way or another – it’s partly why we’re so unique)
- Proud
- Creative
Name one place in Liverpool that holds a special place in your heart?
Newsham Park.
Is there anything on your ‘Bucket List’ to do in Liverpool that you’re still yet to achieve?
Have a joint with Paul McCartney.
Do you have any tales of Liverpool or claim to fame while in the city?
Every day of my life provides a tale of Liverpool! I tend to write about my day to day experiences in my songs including the goings on in the city. Have a listen! @masonowensmusicÂ
